Teachers at I.C.E.S. make math enjoyable as well as educational. Mrs. Barrs' third grade class used string to create star patterns to help recognize number patterns. They practiced skip counting by twos. Using tactile elements adds another dimension to a lesson and helps different types of learners connect with the material.
