Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten Registration and Screening will be April 23-24 from 12:00 until 3:00 for those students who are planning to attend Kindergarten at ICES for the 2015 - 2016 school year and are not already enrolled in Irwin County.  Please call the school at 468-9476 to make an appointment.  Students must be 5 on or before September 1.

Please bring the following with you:
  • Social Security Card
  • Birth Certificate
  • Immunization Record
  • EED Record (Eye, Ear, and Dental)
  • Proof of residence
  • Parent picture I.D
  • as well as the student enrolling
Students who are currently enrolled in the Irwin County Pre-K and the Irwin County Headstart Program are not required to register at ICES.


ICES Celebrates Dr. Seuss' Birthday

Cat in the HatAnn PaulkICES students were treated to a visit by the Cat in the Hat in celebration of Dr. Seuss' birthday on Monday, March 2. In addition, several members of the community read to students in their classrooms. Pictured are retired teacher Ann Paulk, who read to Mrs. Dixie Sherrod's Kindergarten class, and the Cat in the Hat, played by ICHS student Kameron Williams.

Pre-K Registration

Pre-KThere are still a few openings for the 2015-16 Irwin County Pre-Kindergarten program. Students may be registered Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Irwin County Board of Education at 210 Apple Street.To be eligible for the program, the child must be 4 years old on or before September 1, 2015.

 Documents needed:
    Child's Certified Birth Certificate
    Immunization Form #3231
    Child's Social Security Card
    Eye, Ear, Dental, Nutrition Form #3300
    Medicaid, Peach State, Well Care or Insurance Card
    Proof of Irwin Co. Residency

10th Annual Talent Showcase

MusicThe Talent Showcase will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:30 pm at the Irwin County Auditorium to celebrate Music In Our Schools Month.

MAKE THE CALL AND STOP VIOLENCE IN YOUR SCHOOL

The 1-877-SAY-STOP toll- free hotline was created by the Georgia Department of Education. Students can anonymously report anyone who has a weapon, has threatened to bring a weapon to school, or has violated any other school safety rules. The hotline hours are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; after 5 p.m. all calls will be forwarded to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. Callers will not be asked to reveal their identities. Make the call; you can make a difference!
