Mrs. Tess Taylor
Education and Experience:
I really enjoy teaching children and helping them learn social and psychological skills for life. This is my 13th year of teaching. I have my Master’s degree in education in Counseling and Psychology. I am a certified Adaptations and General Curriculum Special Education and Early Childhood Teacher. In addition, I have a Bachelor’s degree in Family and Child Development where I learned all about the development of children from before birth to five years of age and more.

I have been married for almost 25 years. My husband is a loan officer at a bank. I have a 21 year old son who has almost completed his technical degree in electrician and robotics. I also have a 17 year old daughter who is a senior in high school. She is taking a college class and working part-time as a work-based learning student. We are members of a Baptist church. I sing in the adult choir and help with children’s church and more. I enjoy exercising and trying to stay healthy by walking and riding my bike. I have three pet dogs.

Education and Experience:
I am inspired to teach and help children learn the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in life. I have seven years of teaching experience in a school setting. I attended South University where I obtained my Associates degree in Allied Health Science. I am currently enrolled at Grand Canyon University furthering my education. I have worked as a 3rd grade paraprofessional for six years and 1st grade paraprofessional for a year. This is my first year as a Pre-K teacher and I am excited for year eight!!! I am the lead teacher of Cactus Cuties this year. I wanted to become a teacher due to my love for kids. I love to make a difference in other peoples lives as well as, seeing my students grow and learn!

I love spending time with my family and my dogs- Bo and Neno. I also love teaching, going to church, crafting, going to my boys games, and spending time with my students. I also love shopping and vacationing with my family. I am a member of Cross-Pointe Church. One of my dreams is to one day go to Hawaii.

Education and Experience:
I attended ABAC to obtain my Associate's degree and continued my education for my Bachelors through GSW. This is my 8th year as a Teacher. I have had 3 years of parapro experience (2 years in second grade and 1 year in Pre-K). I have 3 years of teaching Pre-K and 2 year of teaching kindergarten. In the 2021-2022 school year, I was put in the position of Grade level chair for Pre-K. I attended Irwin County for my 1st-12th grade school years, and I am happy that I am able to provide the love of learning that was instilled in me for my alma mater.

When I am not teaching, I am most likely at church! I attend Arbor Baptist, where I am involved in the children's ministry through various activities. I am also a part of our Adult Choir and Praise team. I also love attending events of my students and seeing them SHINE outside of the classroom. Although, I haven't in a while, I do enjoy running! I have completed many local road races running in 5k's (3.1 miles), as well as running in TWO half marathons (13.1 miles). One day, I want to run a DISNEY race. I have 2 doggies, their names are OBI and AMIE.
Mrs. Nikki Walker
Education and Experience:
I love teaching and helping children learn the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in life. I attended ABAC where I obtained my Associates degree in Business Management. I am currently enrolled at Grand Canyon University furthering my education. I have worked as a Kindergarten paraprofessional for 2 and a half years. This is my first year as a teacher where I teach Pre-K. I am also the assistant middle school softball coach and the middle school tennis coach.

Outside of school I love to barrel race, go hunting, fishing, and spending time with my husband Dylan and son Caleb. I am also on different USTA tennis teams out of Camilla, GA. I am a member of Mystic Baptist Church. My dream is to one day go to Australia to visit the Outback.

Education and Experience:
I attended ABAC and obtain my Associates in Early Childhood Education. I then obtained my Bachelors degree from Valdosta State University. This is my 15th year teaching Pre-K in Irwin County.
More about me:
I have been married to my husband for 7 years. We have two daughters that attend school in Irwin County. We enjoy spending time in our pool and at our lake house. My girls show pigs so we spend a lot of our time taking care of their pigs and attending hog shows.
Play gives children a chance to practice what they are learning.
