Third Grade Receives Dictionaries

Grade 3 dictionaries

Wednesday, October 5, was "Third Grade Dictionary Celebration" day at ICES. Each year, the Ocilla Rotary Club and Irwin County Family Connection provide each ICES third grader with a student's dictionary. Designed especially for young students, the dictionary also contains other information such as the 50 states, presidents, the solar system, etc. The students and teachers were all very appreciative of the dictionaries.

Kindergartners Publish Book

Walker-Wilson ClassMrs. Walker and Mrs. Wilson's kindergarten students are now authors and illustrators! The class wrote a book about the things they liked most about kindergarten and titled their book "What I Like About Kindergarten." Then the book was professionally printed. The students really love their book! To celebrate, the class had an ice cream/book signing party where they gave Principal Mrs. Holly Tucker a signed copy.
